Q: Choosing fabric What fabrics are best for a sling? A: 100% cotton fabrics are best. Muslin can be used as well. Cotton blend fabrics are acceptable as long as they are not stretchy, like a spandex blend. Some people like to use a mesh type shirting fabric for a shower sling or pool sling. Q: Custom slings Can I get a sling custom made? A: You sure can! If you have a special fabric you were wanting to use, you can mail it to me and I can sew your sling for you. If you are wanting a special kind of fabric or sling but don't have the material I can get that for you as well. Email me for more information. Q: Sizes What size sling should i order? A: Regular sized slings are made from 2.5 yards of fabric. These will fit small framed people and also shorter people. A taller person could wear these slings but would not have much tail or extra fabric left. Tall slings are made from 3 yards of fabric. These are ideal for a tall person. They also work well for a larger framed person. Smaller people can wear these if they prefer to have lots of tail or extra fabric for breastfeeding cover up. Large slings are also made from 3 yards of fabric. They are a little wider and have a larger shoulder area for support. |
